Some Details for Wednesday’s Update

Towards the end of the day Tolero started releasing some early information on this Wednesday’s update.  While some of the details are still a bit sketchy, and we do not as of yet have a “First Look” or “Release Notes” for this update (Release Notes are expected around the time of the update).  The main servers will be brought down from 6 am – 12 pm for the update, while Risia will be online durring that time. At this time, there is not word on when Risia will recieve this update, or if it has already.

Here are the issues that are supposed to be fixed with this patch:

  • Casting more than one blade barrier will no longer cause monsters to become immune to blade barrier. [link]
  • Using Divine Light no longer causes a Ki error message to appear for Clerics. [link]
  • Barbarian’s Critical Rage fixed and set for levels 11 and 14 [link]
  • Way of the Assassin II special attacked working as intended [link]
  • Friend’s List fixed [link]
  • The full inventory banking bug is fixed [link]
  • Moving items to and from bags by dragging them will be possible again [link]
  • Tome pages, and shield pieces should be able to be moved back to the inventory.

As you can see, this is a pretty large patch which fixes an array of issues, and despite its size, it is seperate from the summer update that we have heard about so hopefully we will hear more about that soon.  Until then, we will be getting more formal information on this patch on Wednesday.

Quarion’s New Position

I just recieved information on where Quarion will be going.  Quarion mentions in his blog that his last day was indeed June 6.  He mentions that he is going to be working for Cryptic Studios, as well as to pursue work in music.

Congratulations on your new job.  We’ll miss you.

Quarion No Longer a Community Relations Manager?

It was just pointed out to me that Quarion has changed his forum signature to “So long, and thanks for everything.”  Quarion had been absent from the forums for some time now (last activity logged as June 6, 2008), but so far there have not been any annoucements on his status change.

Given that there was no announcement this was not likely to be a promotion as was Samera’s case.  In any case I will try to get more information, and once I do I will post it here.

No matter what happened, thanks Quarion for all that you did for the community, and I wish all the best for you in whatever you are doing now.
